Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens Break Up

Sad, but true - Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have officially called off their relationship. After four years of being together, the High School Musical stars have felt it is time to move on. When asked about Efron, Hudgens said, "we're good" even though Zac said he felt the relationship was going nowhere.

Feeling the need to get away and celebrate, Hudgens flew off to Las Vegas to party with her best friends Ashley Tisdale and Brittany Snow. With her birthday just nine days ago (December 14th) she told USMagazine.com, "they're my best friends...I got to have my girlfriends around!"

But, 2011 is going to be a breakout year for Vanessa with three new movies just around the corner. With 'Sucker Punch', 'Beastly' and 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island' she has a ton of work on her plate.

Meanwhile, it has been rumored that Zac Efron is dating Taylor Schilling who starred with him in 'The Lucky One'.

Whatever happens it is hard to see the stars grow up and move on while we all wish High School Musical 4 would come true.

Sharpay Evans Gets Her Own Spinoff Instead of High School Musical 4

Thought that Sharpay Evans was history? Think again! Ashley Tisdale (阿什丽·提斯代尔) is back in her role! Disney has announced an all-new Disney Channel Original Movie, Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure!

The proposed plot is that Sharpay is discovered by a talent scout and heads for Broadway hoping to be discovered and make it to the big time. But, the competition is much tougher than she planned.

Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure is scheduled to start filming this summer and premiere on Disney Channel next year. No word yet if Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, or any of the rest of the High School Musical cast will make an appearance.

Zac Efron Comments on High School Musical 4

Well, you would have to expect Zac Efron to knock High School Musical 4 a bit. In an interview with 2dayfm, he noted, "I don't know what else we could do, we graduated High School. It might be a bit redundant, we're a bit too old and pretty soon what's to stop us from doing Retirement Home Musical."

When asked about the rumors of being in Spiderman 4 he added, "To be honest that would be a dream come true. I haven't heard anything but of course any young actor would love to fill those shoes and they are big shoes to fill."

Utah Prepping for Filming High School Musical 4

This year's Sundance Film Festival was featuring two movies produced in Utah locations. Starting in Park City at 12 midnight was "Frozen," a horror film shot in Snowbasin about three helpless skiers trapped on a ski lift. Yet, another, "Lovers of Hate," was filmed over only a week inside a Deer Valley mansion.

One of the keys to Utah's film success is due to the state legislature raising the tax credit for film productions up 5 percent. Marshall Moore, executive director of the Utah Film Commission noted, "it's made all the difference in the world...It has allowed us to talk to the studios and allowed us to work with cable networks and the independents."

With this tax incentive in place, six feature films are scheduled to begin production including two independent Disney movies, "High School Musical 4" and "John Carter of Mars."

Wow, can't wait for that! Let's hope HSM4 gets some legs soon.
