Yes, it is announced - High School Musical 4 is coming in 2010! But, it looks like it is time for a new cast and back to the original TV setting that started it all (it seems like yesterday!).
With the subtitle of East Meets West, High School Musical 4 will feature both a rivalry and love triangle between East High and West High students. Gary Marsh, the president of Entertainment, Disney Channels Worldwide made the announcement, "The 'High School Musical' trilogy introduced a new generation to the celebrated genre of movie musicals. In crafting this next iteration, we've challenged the entire creative team to raise the bar again — and create something truly worthy of this extraordinary global phenomenon."
Production should start in late 2009.
